These small cameras have built-in IR illumination for "night vision" viewing in the dark. In addition they are fully weatherproof to IP-66 standards!
Each camera utilizes a high resolution Sony 1/3" day-night CCD with 520 line resolution and an 8mm F2.0 lens, providing the best possible picture in a day/night environment. The cameras feature built-in IR illumination for proper night vision. Depending on the model, the IR illumination range can be up to 100 feet! No more external lights, no more expensive IR illuminators.
From there, a powerful wireless transmitter is built into the camera. It operates in the unlicensed 5.8GHz ISM band and that means there will be none of that annoying interference from 2.4GHz devices and microwave ovens!
It features 8 selectable channels to match the selected channel on the receiver and has the capability of 8 simultaneous transmitters running in the same proximity! The output of the transmitter is brought out to an SMA connector on the rear of the camera, and a rubber duck gain antenna is included. External high gain directional antenna can be connected for extended range. Check the external antennas in the section.
The entire wireless camera is built into a weatherproof aluminum housing designed to IP-66 standards. According to the IEC code that means dust tight and immune to water projected in powerful jets against the enclosure. That means no dust collection inside the housing and lens, and even a pressure washer wouldnt phase it! Not to mention a bad storm! On top of that, there is an integral sun hood on the cameras to shade the lens from the sun during daylight hours.
Each camera is provided with a universal wall/ceiling mounting bracket, a suitable 12VDC power supply, rubber duck gain antenna, and complete installation instructions. Remember, these cameras are transmitters only and you need to have a separate receiver.
